Saint Basil of the Desert Eastern Orthodox Hermitage

Rooted in the sacred tradition of Eastern Orthodox Christianity and inspired by the ascetic witness of the Desert Fathers, the mission of Saint Basil of the Desert Eastern Orthodox Hermitage is to:
Live a life wholly devoted to Christ through prayer, repentance, hospitality, and humble service.
Guided by the example of our heavenly patron, Saint Basil the Great, we strive to cultivate a monastic life grounded in the daily rhythm of liturgical worship, the reading of Holy Scripture and patristic writings, the unceasing invocation of the Jesus Prayer, and compassionate outreach to all who seek refuge, healing, and truth.
In the stillness of the Sonoran Desert, we aim to embody the ancient Orthodox calling to become vessels of peace, bearers of light, and servants of divine love for the world. We pray that through our witness, many may come to know the joy and beauty of the Orthodox Christian faith and the transforming grace of life in Christ.
