At Saint Basil of the Desert Hermitage, we hold fast to the conviction that every human being is created in the image and likeness of God and is deeply loved by Christ, who came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Our intercessory prayers are not limited to those who identify as Eastern Orthodox. We offer our petitions to the Lord on behalf of all who seek Him, whether near or far, whether within the Church or simply drawn by a longing for hope, healing, or peace. You are not alone. In the spirit of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, who welcomed all who came to them with compassion and holy discernment, we strive to be a spiritual refuge where no soul is turned away.

We do not judge, exclude, or withhold prayer based on anyone's life journey. We recognize that every human heart bears wounds, and that to live is to struggle, yet in that very struggle, we encounter the grace of Christ, the Great Physician of our souls. The Church, as the early Fathers taught, is not a courtroom for the condemned but a hospital for those in need of healing.
